April 14, 2025
Construction has officially commenced on two separate facilities at Hazelmere Interchange, set to accommodate major tenants Weir and Lindsay Transport.
This week’s sod-turning ceremony marks a significant milestone in the development. The project team is proud to deliver high-quality, bespoke spaces that will support the ongoing growth of these industry leaders.
“We are delighted to partner with Weir and Lindsay Transport on both facilities,” said Judd Dyer, Director at Hesperia. “These developments will contribute to over 30 hectares of industrial land being actively developed in Hazelmere by Hesperia. We remain committed to achieving sustainable outcomes across all our projects and are on track to secure 5 Star Green Star certification for each facility.”
Weir’s new facility, constructed by Q Design & Construct, will occupy 391 Stirling Crescent. Spanning 14,443sqm, the facility will incorporate a warehouse, workshop, and office space on a 3.6-hectare plot.
Kristen Walsh, Managing Director, Minerals Division, Asia Pacific at Weir, commented: “We are thrilled about our new facility, which will significantly enhance our operational capabilities and enable us to continue to support our key customers in the region, providing Weir’s best-in-class service and expertise. This development demonstrates our commitment to sustainable mining and continuing to support our ambitious growth plans in Western Australia.”
Lindsay Transport’s new warehouse at 395 Stirling Crescent will be its second facility in Western Australia. Currently under construction by Shelford Constructions, the 6,035sqm cold storage facility on a 3.4-hectare site will also feature a designated area for future expansion.
Lindsay Transport Managing Director, Nick Lindsay, remarked: “Expanding into this cutting-edge facility represents an exciting new chapter for Lindsay Transport. It will enable us to better serve our customers and further our growth in the logistics sector.”
Both warehouses will adhere to Hesperia’s rigorous sustainability guidelines and are on track to achieve 5 Star Green Star certification, the minimum standard for all Hesperia developments. Notable features include planting over 450 trees across both sites, rooftop solar photovoltaic panels, provision for future installation of batteries and EV chargers, and rainwater tanks.
Hesperia expressed its gratitude to both tenants for their ongoing support and strong working relationships, emphasising the importance of collaboration in delivering high-quality, purpose-built infrastructure in key locations within Perth.
